Learning Church Loyalty

Our family of kids and cousins just about made up the whole of the Epworth League. I came to have a boy friend, however, whose step-father was an evangelist in the Christian Church. I wanted to go to that church with my boy friend and announced that to my family.

My patriarchal grand-father was there and heard my announcement. He wasted no time speaking up. "No you are not! You are a Methodist, not a Campbellite." That settled the matter.
