The Way It's Supposed to Be

The middle aged man said, "It surprises me that I can't remember many of the details of an experience that seems otherwise so vivid. I was in high school. Living in Florida. We, our group, had gone to see the Passion Play. We had talked about what we were going to see, I suppose, but I don't remember much about that, or our leader, not his name. The performance was the next night and we were camping out near-by.
I remember being outside, some sort of evening devotions. It was dark and the stars were brilliant. I was overcome by the heavens and thought, this is the way it is supposed to be. That's all I could think, this is the way it is supposed to be. My life was changed. That feeling of awe comes back even now."
